I hope that you all had a restful bank holiday with your friends and family, and we have ended our short school week in the sunshine,, ready for the weekend ahead. As the weather starts to improve, please make sure that your child comes to school with their water bottles, hats and that you have applied sun lotion on them before school.
In the past few weeks, you may have heard or read in the news about an individual who is running webinars and interventions for a 'miracle cure' for autism. Autism is not an illness, which means that there is no cure for this condition. What is offered is an extremely experimental treatment that is not licenced in the UK, and poses a real risk of harm. It is strongly advised that parents should not take up this treatment.
It was a busy week of visitors and trips for our children across the school. The children in Reception thoroughly enjoyed their trip on the coach to see all of the animals at Odds Farm linked to their animals topic. Our Year 5 children went to visit one of London's iconic buildings - The Royal Festival Hall to watch The London Philharmonic Orchestra, which was a stunning experience for them. It was also the first of many of our Artist in Residence workshops for our Year 3 children - where they got to act and perform based on the history of Alperton.
Next week marks the beginning of the Year 6 SATs assessments - please ensure that your child has a good night sleep, eats a well-balanced breakfast and comes to school relaxed as they have worked incredibly hard this year. We wish them all the best for the four days of assessments!
Warm Regards Iman Basu Roy
