  • Year 3's Stone Age Workshop

    Year 3 had an exciting opportunity to take part in a hands-on prehistoric workshop, exploring the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. The children had a fantastic time bringing history to life through re-enactments of the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic periods. They got to dress in authentic costumes and explore how early humans developed tools, textiles, methods of hunting and food gathering. The workshop concluded with a collaborative project, where the children worked together to create a model of Stonehenge - an iconic landmark they will be learning more about in the Spring term. It was a fun and educational experience that sparked curiosity about our ancient past!

    Class 4 Robin had an exciting time designing and creating their own healthy granola snacks! The children experimented with different nutritious ingredients, carefully tasting and evaluating their creations to see how they could be improved. It was a fun and engaging way to learn about healthy eating while developing their culinary skills.

  • Black History Month 2024

    Black History Month 2024 was a fantastic celebration at our school, filled with learning, inspiration, and creativity. Throughout the month, children explored the lives and achievements of influential Black figures from history, gaining a deeper appreciation for their contributions. Each class focused on different individuals, ensuring a rich and diverse learning experience across the school. The celebrations culminated in a wonderful Black History Month assembly led by Class 5 Swift, where they showcased what they had learned through powerful performances, presentations, and reflections. It was a month to remember, fostering unity, understanding, and pride!
