Message from the Headteacher
At the end of this week, you would have seen the conclusion of the roof works - with the final part of scaffolding having been taken down. These works were necessary because we had identified a drainage issue. We were fortunate enough to still have contact with the original construction company who did the roofing previously. They worked closely with the school and engineers at Ealing borough to complete the repair. We await the addition of the weatherproofing section and placement of the final slabs, before the terrace is ready to be used again.
There has been a true buzz around school this week, as we prepared for our pupil voice elections. It is a very important part of our year, because it is a time to really focus on the British Value of democracy. During this period, the children are taught the importance of running for a position that they feel passionately about, and that democracy gives us the opportunity to vote for someone we believe in.
As we are now a number of weeks into the term, there will be several school trips that will happening soon. These trips are great enhancements to the classroom learning, and can only go ahead with the support of our parent helpers. If you are available for any trips this year, please do sign up to be a helper.
I would like to remind you of the importance of ensuring that your child has their full PE kit in school at all times. This allows them to take part in all physical education activities, which are a vital part of their development and curriculum. Their PE kit should remain in school and only be taken home at the end of each half term for washing. Please check the full list of PE kit requirements on the school website.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
