As all our parents and careers are aware, road safety is obviously essential around our primary schools. We aim to make the area around our school gates as safe as possible by asking parents and grandparents not to disregard the driving restrictions during drop off and pick up time and drive through Lily Gardens. If it is not possible to walk all the way to school, please park the car safely, and walk with your children for the rest of the way, as this would make the area safer for all and also reduce congestion. We ask that all parents/ carers park safely and considerately around the area to keep everyone safe and happy. This week to mark ‘Road Safety Week’, the children learnt all about road safety in school and they are passionate about encouraging everyone to be safe on the roads.
Big congratulations to our Athletics Team, who went to Greenford High School yesterday to take part in inter-school competition. They represented their school excellently and came back with shining bronze medals. We are all so proud of them. Our school holds the Platinum Award, which is the highest we can attain, for our Physical Education provision and this is due to the persistent hard work of Mrs Patel our PE Lead and all the Teaching Assistants, who train and take the children to the various competitions. We are also probably one of the few schools in the area which provide such an extensive swimming provision with additional sessions in Year 6 and Year 4 to top up the statutory sessions in Year 5. This all feeds into our long term vision of developing healthy habits in our pupils.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
