Message from the Headteacher
This week, our EYFS and Key Stage 1 children have been rehearsing for their Christmas Nativity, filling the corridors with songs and excitement. We look forward to sharing their performances with you soon! Dates are on the calendar below.
The school is starting to look festive, thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers who decorated our trees. A big thank you to all who helped create a special atmosphere as we approach December.
Over the weekend, fly-tipping occurred outside the school gates. We contacted the borough immediately, and the area has now been cleared. Thank you to those who raised their concerns.
To ensure the safety of our school community, we’ve had parking bollards placed on the zig-zag lines outside the school to create a clear zone during drop-off and pick-up times. We appreciate your support in respecting these safety measures.
Yesterday, our governors visited and joined us for our spectacular Science Afternoon. The classrooms were transformed into mini-labs, and the children had a great time with hands-on experiments and investigations. The governors were truly impressed by the active learning taking place.
Our Year 5 and 6 children also visited Ellen Wilkinson School yesterday for a sitting volleyball competition. They showed incredible teamwork and persistence, earning a well-deserved silver medal. Congratulations to the team and the staff who supported them!
Finally, today, the children in Year 4 had a Viking workshop, bringing their learning to life with artefacts and hands-on activities. It was a fantastic way to explore history!
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
