Message from the Headteacher
This term, we are placing a strong emphasis on the arts across our curriculum. The children will engage in both whole-school projects and smaller group activities to foster and develop their interest in the arts.
Our whole school project will be based on the National Gallery's Take One Picture initiative, where primary schools are encouraged to explore a single painting and create their own art inspired by it. This provides a fantastic opportunity for cross-curricular learning, with students from all year groups contributing to a special exhibition at our very own Vicar’s Green gallery, showcasing work from every class.
A small group of children will have the opportunity to visit the immersive Frameless gallery in Marble Arch. Using technology, they will be able to experience classic masterpieces from artists like Gustav Klimt, Salvador Dalí, and many others up close. If your child is not going on the trip, I highly recommend visiting the gallery during the holidays or on weekends.
On Friday 24th January at 9am, we will be hosting a coffee morning with the West London NHS Trust. During this session, parents will learn about various low-level behaviours at home, gain a deeper understanding of behaviours that challenge, and explore positive strategies to manage them. The goal of this session is to provide parents tools to address behaviours that challenge through positive engagement with their child, and encouraging them to make well-considered choices in the future.
We will be providing refreshments before that start so our parents can have sometime to socialise and get to know each other.
I do hope that you take this opportunity to attend this coffee meeting with our specialists from the West London NHS Trust.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
