Message from the Headteacher
Yesterday, we had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The children looked absolutely wonderful in their creative and bright costumes, representing their favourite book characters. It was truly a joy to see their enthusiasm for reading, and this day serves as an important reminder of the power of books in developing knowledge, creativity, and imagination.
In the coming weeks, as a part of our regular monitoring cycle, to ensure that our teaching and learning remain of the highest standard we will be visiting lessons, and looking at books. During this process, we will observe the teaching and learning taking place in classrooms, and reviewing the impressive range of work the children are producing in history and geography. A particular focus will be placed on how well children retain knowledge from previously taught units, both from their current year and earlier years, as well as their use of subject-specific vocabulary within lessons.
As we approach the end of the term, we are planning for the summer term’s clubs. Further details will be sent out soon for you to express your interest. These clubs are always popular, and it is important that children attending, show consistent positive learning behaviours both in the classroom and the playground to ensure a productive and enjoyable experience for all who attend the clubs.
Finally, we would like to thank you for your continued support in maintaining our school uniform standards. The children are looking very smart, and we appreciate your efforts in ensuring that all shoes and trainers are completely black with no additional colours. As the weather begins to warm up, please consider sending lighter coats with your child to ensure they remain comfortable throughout the school day.
Warm regards Iman Basu Roy
